"Banana's Foster French Toast à la Mode" is my twist on the famous New Orleans desert. Buttery grilled slices of french bread sweetened and flavored with vanilla are topped with a scoop (or two) of ice cream followed by warm bananas in a sauce made from butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, dark rum. I make the French toast ahead of time and just warm it up before serving (it also freezes well). |
